UP NEWS - Passengers Get Relief from Severe Heat: South East Central Railway Launches Misting Systems at Major Stations
Khabarilaal News Desk:
In a major passenger-friendly initiative amid rising summer temperatures, South East Central Railway has operationalised water misting systems at major railway stations to provide much-needed relief from severe heat and humidity.
Misting systems installed at major stations
The misting systems have been installed at platforms of key stations including Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, and Gondia. These systems spray fine water droplets, significantly reducing the surrounding temperature on the platforms.
Big relief for waiting passengers
The arrangement is proving especially beneficial for passengers waiting for trains, as it helps combat intense heat and humidity, creating a more comfortable atmosphere on station premises.
Most effective during peak afternoon heat
Railway officials said the misting systems are particularly effective during the afternoon hours, when temperatures soar to uncomfortable levels. Continuous misting helps maintain a cooler environment throughout the day.
Passenger comfort remains top priority
South East Central Railway stated that passenger convenience remains its top priority, and such summer-friendly arrangements will continue to ensure a safe, comfortable, and pleasant travel experience for all.
