VARANASI NEWS – GM Ashutosh Pant Conducts Detailed Fire Safety Inspection at BLW, Issues Directions to Strengthen Safety Systems

In a significant step towards strengthening safety measures at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), General Manager Shri Ashutosh Pant today conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Loco Frame Shop, Loco Assembly Shop, and Loco Test Shop. During the visit, he reviewed the fire safety arrangements and emergency response systems across the premises.

Fire Safety Equipment Thoroughly Examined

During the inspection, the GM closely assessed the fire-fighting equipment, safety resources, and emergency systems available at various work locations. He ensured that all systems are capable of functioning effectively and immediately during any emergency situation.

Safety Declared Top Priority

Shri Ashutosh Pant instructed officers and employees that safety remains the highest priority at BLW. He emphasized that all safety systems must remain active, updated, and fully operational at all times.

Focus on Regular Inspection and Training

He stressed the importance of regular fire safety inspections, periodic mock drills, and mandatory safety training for employees. He stated that a well-trained and aware workforce forms the foundation of a safe working environment.

The inspection was attended by Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer Shri Vivek Sheel, Chief Design Engineer/Electrical Shri Anurag Kumar Gupta, Chief Electrical Engineer/Loco Shri Arvind Kumar Jain, Chief Safety Officer Shri Jitendra Agrawal, Deputy General Manager Shri Sagar, along with other officials and staff members.
